ALGORITHMIC PRICING DISCLOSURE

Creates the Algorithmic Pricing Transparency Act, requiring online sellers to clearly disclose when a consumer's price is personalized based on surveillance pricing and to offer consumers a non-personalized baseline price on request. Bars use of specified personal information to generate algorithmic pricing, exempts insurers and financial-service providers, and limits private enforcement in favor of treatment as an unlawful practice under the state's consumer fraud law.
