REGISTERED NURSE USE OF AI

Amends Illinois' Nurse Practice Act to regulate how registered nurses and their employers use artificial intelligence in patient care, including transcription, clinical decision support, and staffing decisions. Health care entities deploying AI must keep bias-monitoring and validation records, train nurses on system limitations, and cannot base staffing, triage, admission, discharge, or transfer decisions solely on AI output. Patients must be notified when AI is used, and violations can trigger disciplinary action and state investigation.
