Law-enforcement agencies & sheriff's dept.; policy on use of covered artificial intelligence syst.

Requires Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services to establish a model policy by October 1, 2026 governing law-enforcement and sheriff's department use of covered AI systems, as defined in the bill. Each local agency and the State Police must adopt a written policy meeting or exceeding the model by January 1, 2027. Adopted policies must be publicly available on the agency's website.
