Mandatory Human Reviews of Insurance Claim Denials

Authorizes Florida workers' compensation carriers, insurers, and HMOs to use AI and machine learning systems to assist in processing claims, but prohibits these systems from serving as the sole basis for denying or reducing a claim. All decisions to deny or reduce claims must be made by qualified human professionals. The Office of Insurance Regulation is authorized to conduct market conduct examinations and investigations for compliance.
